It all started in the high-stakes world of commercial real estate—where deals are big, suits are sharp, and love stories are basically unheard of until now.

Lane spotted Devon at a networking event and immediately thought, "She's the one!" Devon, meanwhile, was focused solely on business—and nothing else.

Lane, undeterred, launched what he calls a campaign of "strategic follow-up." Eventually, Devon agreed to another professional happy hour. Lane, however, boldly declared it was their first date—and stands by that version to this day.

After a few suspiciously charming emails and some not-so-accidental texts, Lane locked in dinner #2—which Devon (reluctantly) admits had more flirt than a firm handshake. It was sometime between the appetizers and the check that Devon realized that Lane was incredibly adorable.

A few months later, and after Lane offered several colorful disclaimers, he invited Devon to his family's Hanukkah celebration with his slightly chaotic but very lovable Jewish family. With one menorah, endless brisket, and a light interrogation from Lane's sister, Devon not only survived—she crushed it.

As the days passed after Hanukkah, it was time for Devon to celebrate Christmas with her family in Fort Worth. Devon decided to go solo to visit her family. Immediately after Devon arrived at her parent's home, she quickly realized something was missing… Lane. So, Devon called Lane and said, "I wish you were here!" Lane, wasting no time and sensing a Hallmark-level plot twist, he booked a flight to the DFW. Devon's mom sprang into action. She immediately went shopping for a last-minute Christmas stocking and special gifts so Lane would feel like he had always been on the guest list for Christmas.

And just like that, two worlds came together—blending traditions, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From hectic days of deal-making to quiet evenings spent building something truly special, Lane and Devon found more than business chemistry—they found a partnership for life.
